Templates are little helpers which are used for recurring parts of a page. There a several types of templates which can be used in articles.

Amboxes/Head Boxes

Ambox means Article Messagebox. As the name mentions, these templates should be placed at the top of a page. They create a box with notable information.

  • Template:InUse (used to highlight articles that are actively undergoing a major edit. Using this is important when starting to make revisions to a page to prevent another editor from editing the page while you are present. Placing this at the top of the page editor and saving the page first before making edits is how this works.)
  • Template:UnderConstruction (used to highlight articles that are undergoing a series of edits. It is as the title suggests, when the page is being expanded overtime, this is the perfect use.)
  • Template:Update (used to highlight articles that have content that is out of date.)
  • Template:Rewrite (used when an article or sections of a page need a complete revision or rewrite.)
  • Template:Merge (used to highlight articles that are candidates for merging with another article. If there is a page that has info that really should be on another page, tag that page with this headbox.)
  • Template:Move (used to highlight articles with a request for a name-change.)
  • Template:Split (used to highlight articles that need division. If there is data on a page that should be separate and be its own page, tag that page with this template.)
  • Template:Expand (used to highlight articles that need expansion. Only used if a page has no headbox and has hardly any content on it.)
  • Template:Delete (used when an article needs to be marked for deletion - read here first before using.)
  • Template:Stub (used for pages with few or insufficient information.)
  • Template:Links (used to highlight articles with poor hyperlinks.)
  • Template:Copy edit (used to highlight articles that have poor grammar, style, cohesion, and spelling.)
  • Template:Category (used to highlight poorly categorized pages/articles.)
  • Template:Cleanup (used to highlight articles that need complete rewriting to better suit wiki guidelines.)

Content specific boxes

Content-specific boxes are special boxes for some kind of content. They are designed for specific pages.

Infoboxes

Infoboxes should give a short overview over all relevant content, as well as icons and images.

  • Template:Event (This Template is a complicated mission template built by Banri from scratch. Custom designed for Gemini Station mission system. This infobox displays all available info regarding assignments, missions and encounters. For full guide, see page.)

Footer-boxes

Footer-boxes are mainly an overview of all types of pages that count to the specific category, as well as some special pages related to the category. It should be placed on the bottom of the page.

Text templates

Text templates are used direct in the text. they are often markers for missing informations or as reference.
