1.2.0 YOUR SHIP HAS BEEN HACKED... (3/23/20)
This exciting patch details the advancements to the PVP interaction systems as well as several other minor and quality-of-life updates.
The addition of PVP hacking and a reworked trade war means the player to player interactions are increasing…along with tempers. Traders who once shipped massive quantities of goods are now being forced to balance expanded cargo holds with cargo shielding to protect from scouts bent on hacking and jettisoning their precious cargo into space.
General Updates
- Reworked the Uninstall All Mods button to remove every stat entry in the database instead of just ones for installed mods. There have been a few instances where some uninstalled mods retain their stats. This should clear that bug.
- Added a confirmation button to the Delete Mod Preset button. No more clumsy thumbsy.
- Added a Ship Log Archive page for pilots to review all previous log entries.
- Changed the default quantity to transfer from ship to warehouse to 0 for Space Moth Traps.
User Experience
- Mobile-friendly sub menu bar added to pages.
- Server time added to sub menu.
- Sub menu optimzed for mobile users.
Player Bio
- Added a player bio option for players to write bios about their pilots.
- Public bio link added to the player’s public profile page.
Encounters
- Lowered then number of clicks needed between creating and encounter and entering one from 8 to 4 :)
- Added a “Run this encounter again” option on the encounter summary page.
Guilds
- Removed all guilds with 0 members.
Trade Wars
- The trade war mechanic has been reworked. Instead of a combined total sales (excluding Gem), a point is awarded for each item sold––regardless of value or size. (Still excluding Gem). More distant locations award bonus points for each item.
- Earth/Mars - 1pt / item
- Jupiter - 4pt / item
- Eris - 15pt / item
- Mercury - 10pt / item
- A trade war will start 24 hours after war is declared.
- Trade wars now last 3 days after the war begins.
- Full trade war details can be read here: https://wiki.geministation.com/Guild_War
PVP Hacking
- This is the #1 most requested feature...this is all your fault.
- Minimum Requirements

- PVP Hacking Costs 10 Energy

- If player’s hack roll beats the defending roll, but is within 25 points, the target ship is alerted to your activity and successful hacking attempt.
- Hacking Terminal
- Upon a successful hack, the player will connect to the target ship via the Hacking Terminal. From this screen the player will have several actions they can take:
- Jettison Cargo
- Drain Shields
- Drain Engines
- Boost Engines
- Upon a successful hack, the player will connect to the target ship via the Hacking Terminal. From this screen the player will have several actions they can take:
- There are five levels to each action. Level 1 actions are free and are guaranteed to hit, levels 2-5 require an additional hacking roll where the defender gets a hacking defense boost. Level 2-5 actions also cost intel.
- Level 1 - Free, guaranteed success
- Level 2 - 100 Int, Defender’s hacking rating * 2
