Encounters are group combat events. One to three pilots face off against one to five NPC units. Encounters become available at level 5.
Boost Shields - During an encounter, a pilot can boost another ally's shields.
Shield boost power varies based on ship type and class:
Light Freighter - 25 Medium Freighter - 50 Heavy Freighter - 100
Light Fighter - 10 Standard Fighter - 25 Assault Fighter - 50
Recon Scout - 50 Support Scout - 100 Overwatch Scout - 200
