Hacking Mechanics

Hacking vs an NPC:

First a d100 is rolled (random 1-100), that establishes the target number that needs to be exceeded for a successful hack.

Victory Threshold = rand(1-100).


Player's Hack Attempt = Hacking Mods + Crew + Guild Upgrades + Base Ship Bonus - (Target NPC Ship Level * .25).

If the Player's Hack Attempt > Victory Threshold, hack is successful.
