Templates are used to duplicate the same content across more than one page. Changing a template in one place will immediately propagate the changes to all the pages that use it.
This page lists templates of this wiki.
To insert a template into a page, type {{TemplateName}} (this is known as a tag) somewhere on the page, whether it be at the top or at the bottom or in a certain section. Every page with that tag in it will display the template text. TemplateName is the name after the colon symbol, e.g. the TemplateName for Template:Cleanup is Cleanup, so typing {{Cleanup}} will add that tag to a page.
Ambox means Article Messagebox. As the name mentions, these templates should be placed at the top of a page. They create a box with notable information.
Template:Rewrite (used when an article or sections of a page need a complete revision or rewrite.)
Template:Merge (used to highlight articles that are candidates for merging with another article. If there is a page that has info that really should be on another page, tag that page with this headbox.)
Template:Move (used to highlight articles with a request for a name-change.)
Template:Split (used to highlight articles that need division. If there is data on a page that should be separate and be its own page, tag that page with this template.)
Template:Expand (used to highlight articles that need expansion. Only used if a page has no headbox and has hardly any content on it.)
Template:Delete (used when an article needs to be marked for deletion - read here first before using.)
Template:Stub (used for pages with few or insufficient information.)
Template:Links (used to highlight articles with poor hyperlinks.)
Template:Copy edit (used to highlight articles that have poor grammar, style, cohesion, and spelling.)
Template:Category (used to highlight poorly categorized pages/articles.)
Template:Welcome (used on either user page or user talk page of a newly registered user. See page for more info.)
