Evasion is the Attribute to help players avoid PVP combat. To counter evasion and intercept a player's ship you need [[targeting]]. The evasion stat is subtracted from the attacker's targeting rating before rolling a d100. In order for an attacker to successfully target you their remaining targeting must must be greater than this d100 roll. (targeting - evasion > d100 to intercept)

This mechanic counters targeting. This stat is subtracted from the attacker's targeting rating before rolling a d100. In order for an attacker to successfully target you they must roll less than the remaining target rating.
Evasion gives no protection against [[hacking]], but it does play a key part in the [[smuggling]] mechanic.
