A Space Moth Trap
Captured Space Moths

Known as the scourge of space, Space Moths prey on unsuspecting ships, draining their power. These traps might help capture them.

If a Space Moth is caught in your Space Moth Traps, you can take it to Eris where it can be traded in for a Supercharged Energy Cell. As Supercharged Energy Cell are worth quite a hefty price on the Auction House, it is advised to place it in your warehouse as soon as possible. When a Space Moth attacks your ship, depending on whether or not you have a Space Moth Traps you will receive one of two messages:

If Successful

"SPACE MOTH ALERT! Sensing the delicious frequencies of your ship's reactor, a space moth has honed in on your ship's location and attempted to drainyour engines. But being the intrepid pilot that you are, you're carrying a Space Moth Trap and you've caught them!"

If Unsuccessful

"SPACE MOTH ALERT! Sensing the delicious frequencies of your ship's reactor, a space moth has honed in on your ship's location and drained your engines, increasing your travel time by 4 minutes."
