==Usage==
The basic usage requires no parameters:

===Quotes===
If the references contain a large number of quotes, to hide the quotes (and only the quotes) add <code>quotes=no</code>:
<pre>{{reflist|quotes=no}}</pre>

===Column controls===
There are two ways of controlling columns: setting the number of columns and setting the width of the columns. By default there is one column.

Note: multiple columns currently render properly only in Gecko-based browsers (such as Mozilla Firefox) and WebKit-based browsers (such as Safari and Chrome), though the feature is included in CSS3, so it should work for a larger number of browsers in the future.

;Number
The number of columns is controlled using the first unnamed parameter. Using <tt><nowiki>{{reflist|2}}</nowiki></tt> will create a two-column reference list, and <tt><nowiki>{{reflist|3}}</nowiki></tt> will create a three-column list.

;Width
The width of columns is controlled using the <code>colwidth</code> Using <tt><nowiki>{{reflist|colwidth=30em}}</nowiki></tt> will allow the browser to automatically choose the number of columns based on the width of the web browser. The width supports and of the standard CSS length units: px, pt, em, %. Choose a column width that's appropriate for the average width of the references on the page.

===Groups===
To list references in a group, add <code>group=groupname</code>:
