I had planned on a few incremental updates before diving into the drone mechanic, but a night of “I wonder how much work it would really be to add player drones…” combined with an endless onslaught of “Give drones!” From the player base led to the release of this highly anticipated new mechanic: drones.
Pilots can now purchase drones from every major faction and send them on trade and delivery missions. The drone mechanic works hand-in-hand with the facilities mechanic, allowing entrepreneurs to manage their growing trade empire without ever having to leave the comfort of their own ship’s cockpit.
