Update:Game Update - Drone Combat - Dailies

This update features a core update to the player-owned drone mechanic: drone combat. Pilots can now attempt to cripple their rival’s drones. Space just got a lot more dangerous. Additionally, this update includes an overhaul to the daily trade mechanic. The old trade daily mechanic has been removed. The new daily mechanic uses the story mechanic and allows for daily tasks beyond trading. This new daily system includes daily trade, hacking, boosting, attacking, and travel missions for pilots to complete. The rewards structure has been increased as well for dailies. Rewards range from increased money, intel, XP, mods, items, and tokens.

Tokens are a new tradable currency that can be used to craft unique mods at Gemini Station. Tokens can be earned by completing dailies and participating by unique, special events.

2.5.0 Drone Combat - Dailies (10/23/2020)

General

  • Armor repair costs changed from $1 / armor HP to $10 / armor HP at all locations excluding Gem and nodes.
  • Added a “Mark all Read” button to the Gem inbox that will mark all unread messages as read.
  • Threat stat added to main ship page.
  • Added new story unlock messages to the level up page.
  • An event alert will be sent at the start of a new day on Gem.

Mods

  • Added several pre-10 hacking mods (crafting) to Gem’s store.
  • All weapon recharge mods have been changed to crit chance.

Stories

  • High Hopes Pt. 3 is available for pilots level 13+ on Jupiter!
  • Pancake’s Request is available for pilots level 20+ on Eris!
  • Character artwork has been redrawn.
  • New characters have been added to additional stories.

Tokens

  • Tokens are a new tradable item that is awarded from missions/stories and can be used to acquire unique mods.
  • There are three categories of tokens:
  • Class
    • Faction
    • Special Events - (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Etc.)

Dailies

  • Daily missions have been added to every major faction.
  • Additional daily missions can be unlocked by completing stories, the main mission, and/or by pledging loyalty to a faction.
  • Select level 60 dailies also reward faction marks.
  • The previous trade daily system has been taken offline and all quests have been removed from pilot's mission logs.

Drones

  • Other player’s drones can now be attacked. The full details can be found here: https://wiki.geministation.com/Player_Drones#Drone_Combat
  • WARNING: Defeated drones have a 15% chance to lose the installed mod. The lost mod will be destroyed. Destroyed mods are gone forever.
  • Drones will only show up on scans if you’ve not interacted with them in the last ten minutes.

Encounters

  • Attack and def rolls will now only show whole numbers.

Bugs

  • Fixed a bug where overages in the warehouse would show as green instead of red.
  • Fixed a display bug where some Outlands nodes could not be clicked on.
  • Fixed multiple display errors where Targeting and Evasion was shown as a percentage.
  • Fixed a bug where the XP hover would disappear after draining/boosting another ship.
  • Fixed a bug where threat mod values were not being removed when changing ships.
  • Fixed a bug where the the crit attributes table would not reset when changing ships and/or uninstalling all mods.
